ABOUT

In 1903, Baylor University Medical Center began as the Texas Baptist Memorial
Sanitarium. In 1905, Texas A&M University College of Dentistry was inaugurated as the State Dental College, and was located on the second floor above a grocery store, in downtown Dallas.

The development of Texas A&M University College of Dentistry has paralleled that of Baylor University Medical Center. These two institutions are adjoined and are located adjacent to downtown Dallas. For many years, there has been a close working relationship between the two institutions and, in particular, the shared specialty and training program of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Today, this Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program is one of the best in the USA.
